Make A Wish

Hi my friends, I hope you are enjoying this holiday weekend or perhaps it's not a holiday weekend for some of you, just the same, I hope everyone has an awesome time.  This card I made is a pop-up card, so that when you open the card the Genie sits up and is ready to grant your wish.  Do you have a special wish?  Oh, I do, and I am hoping this Genie helps make it come true... she is so cute!

Well, to start off in making the card I cut out "Make A Wish" on my Klik-n-Kut Zing cutting machine, I also cut out the shadow and I decided then in a spur of a moment to make a pop up card.... purely opposite of what I had planned.  Just one of those things that just pop up in your head.  So I colored her with my Copic Markers and cut her out. Now she is ready to pop-up somehow or somewhere.  LOL

You can get your own personal Genie at Scrapper's Delight...... and if you shop like me...it's like eating potato chips... you can't just have one!!!  LOL

So I cut a 6x12 piece of white cardstock (Recollections) and folded it in half for a 6x6 card.  Okay, I thought now my card will be 6x6...LOL  good going so far.  Well, I looked though my stash and found some pattern paper that sort of looked ummmm.... magical.  : )     So I cut three 6x6 pieces, adhered one piece to the front of the card and the other two pieces to the inside.  Moving right along.. lol  I still have little Genie here and have no idea what to do with her at this point...  just know I want to pop her up.  Light came on!!!!!  Woo hoo.... I made her a little pillow with some fringe I had on hand, and adhered a piece of cardstock to her back and to the back of the card.  Voila!!  you open the card and she pops up with her pillow.  I then used a Spellbinders Die to cut the designs on the front of the card as well as on the space behind our little Genie.  Time consuming.... YES!!  Fun... oh, heck yea.  So with all that being told, do you notice the little fairy on the cards?  Well, that's because I made her for another design team I am on, but couldn't use the pop-up version.... so I thought Sunshine Mail ?????  Oh, yes, one of the children will get a kick out of this just opening the card and having a Genie pop up.  So Sunshine Mail it is.  The other blog is Through The Purple Haze,  Give me a visit there and see more of my creations.

Now, it's your turn to make your card for the Sunshine Mail Children.  Go to their web site, just a click away, and see how you can put a big smile on a child's face.  So easy, please check it out.  Thanks!! I knew I could count on you!!!

Well, my friends, that's about it for today and I will be back soon, so keep checking and please, leave a comment, I love hearing from you!!  After all, we're almost family... lol

So until next time,
Take care and God Bless
