I made it to the Crafty Pad Design Team

Wooo hoooo, I am sooooo excited and am going to have lots and lots of fun working with all the great ladies on the DTs. Thanks for bringing me aboard girls. Hop on over and look at all the fantastic happenings going on.

Fantastic Retreat!!!

Lots of fun was had by all 22 ladies at the retreat last weekend. We made cards, layouts, played games, and had a door decoration contest. As we were packing, (I think we took the whole scraproom), lol, our van was packed, I mean really packed. We even took the third seat out to make more room as our great friends Joy and Casey rode with us and guess what? Yep, they brought more good scrapping stuff!! To top it off, on the way to the retreat we stopped at a scrapbook store and yes, bought more...lol The four of us had matching T-shirts that said, Scrap Pack. Everyone thought we were clever for doing that. So here's a few pictures to give you some laughs and also to show the door competetion. Here we go..

This is Joy and Casey's door. The banner on this door was gorgeous. What a fantastic job. They placed second.

This is Kelly and I's door. We did a layout with our pictures, flowers, journaling, borders, etc... and Yeaaaaa we won first place.!

The pictures are not the best, but we had one fabulous weekend and thanks to all the ladies that attended, you were lots of fun, shared your ideas, and were just fantastic. We've already set the date for next year..yeaaaa!

Sooooo excited.......

The day is almost finally here...... our trip to Camp Sumatanga for a three day retreat of scrapbooking, card making, enjoying being with 22 fun loving, great ladies. wooo hoooo, it's been planned since October and the time has been dragging by, but we're ready and set to go!!!! The van is packed....uh, really packed....I think Kelly and I put the scraproom in the van... rofl.
Two great friends are riding with us, so we're going to stop at a scrapbook store along the way... if anyone buys anything they will have to ride with it on their lap...lol Oh, just think... no phones, no doorbells, no one to bother you, just scrappin' the time away, anytime we wish and as long as we want to .....wooo hooo Who knows, may be up all night in PJ's...lol We are definitely going to have a blast.
We have a door decorating contest..should be fun! Also, a dirty scrapper gift swap....more fun! Also, everyone has to make a gift for 22 scrappin' buddies... just think of all the goodies we will be getting.
Ok, got to go check our list one more time.

I feel gooooood, oh so gooooo!!!!

I feel good, I feel fine, Cause I wouldn't want this nurse poking that needle in my behind, I feel good...... LOL That was definitely a "Senior Moment".
I just thought this nurse was hilarious and thought I would put her to work.

I could use her around here, as the weather has been absolutely crazy, no winter, just muggy, high humidity, and rainy. My daughter has pneumonia from all of this but is on the mend.

Hopefully, tomorrow I get to play in the scrap room and get some cards to share with my scrappy friends.

I hope you got a chuckle and maybe just a smile, if so, my job was complete.

Just a little something to share

It's a warm and rainy day for this time of year..... let's just say a great day for scrappin'. I really enjoy being upstairs in the scrap room when it's raining and you can hear it hitting on the window. Just a very relaxing atmosphere. Of course, it doesn't do much for giving you lots of "mojo", but it feels terrific. So I just put together a little distressed card today, something different for me.

I got this LaBlanche stamp during the Christmas holidays and just decided to use it. They are beautiful and stamp so clear.

Two posts in two days...wooo hooo

To continue on with my BFF's needed cards, I have finished the Easter Card for her Secret Pal. Out in the mail they go to my BFF and I hope the Secret Pal enjoys receiving them, when it's time to send each one to her, as I have had creating them.

I'm baaaaackkk!!

Hi all, I hope everyone had great holidays. Mine were fine and of course busy with out of town company, cooking and all the holiday duties, so of course I did not get to scrap. Well, I really needed to get moving here because my BFF's birthday is soon, plus she needed a Mardi Gras card for her Secret Pal from high school, (fifty plus years ago) WOW!!

The school girls gathered for a Christmas get-together and it just so happened her Secret Pal brought the Christmas card with her (and was sitting next to her) and was telling everyone how her secret pal sends such wonderful cards. Needless to say, I really felt great when she called and told me as I have been making all her cards for her. LOL I need to finish her list as she still needs, Valentine, St. Patrick, and an Easter card and then in May the pals get to meet and find out who their secrect pals were. They also, get to pick another one, so I will have to continue to keep my BFF in supply. LOL It's been fun.

So first of all, here is my BFF's birthday card she will be getting soon.

And I did finish the Mardi Gras card, so here is my BFF's card for the occasion.

I did go visit her between Christmas and New Years in Louisiana and we had the greatest time together. We may not talk for a few weeks by phone but when we do it's like we've been together all the time. She is really my BFF, God Bless her.
