Save the Hooters!!

Hi girls and guys, can you believe it's time for Link Up for Pink Challenge 15 already?  Whew, time is flying by.  We are doing something a little different on Link Up for Pink for this challenge. Yolie, our awesome leader, has asked us to choose our favorite card we have posted here. Well, I have been posting for 3 years now and this may not be my favorite, but it did get me chosen for the first design team.. and have been a permanent DT ever since..  woot  woot!!!  :)  and I did get lots of great comments.  The card was then later given to my friend Angela to give to her Mother-in-law who was going through her third round of chemo back then and she is still fighting the battle.  Please say a prayer for her. 

Okay, here we go......

 

I will tell you a little story about this card.... my daughter and I scrapbook together across the table from one another.  I started working on the card and she would look over and give a little grin as to.... what?  She has been scrapping lots longer than I have.  I would add another embellishment and she would just have that silly little grin, that I thought she was saying, Oh, please, Mom...  :)

Well, after the card was completed I said, well, what do you think and she said, it's different and smiled..  lol  I said thanks and posted the card.  Well, I began getting lots of love and comments and she said, Mom, I really didn't care for your card too much, but you worked so hard on it, but now I see now just how special it is to so many others.  It's beautiful.  That's my girl!!

 

So I hope all of you out there fighting the battle gets the message too.  I hope and pray that a cure will be found soon.

Christmas in July

Gosh, you can tell I was having withdrawals from my scraproom being packed because of moving...  two postings in two days.  yayyyy me!!   I have decided to make a few cards for challenges and this one is for Lacy Sunshine Challenge #12 - Christmas digis.   They are oh!!! so cute.!!!  Well, lets get on to the card.

Going to the Chapel......

Hi friends, I am back in business... lol  the Scraproom is back in operation and almost finished being unpacked.  A dear friend of mine ask me to make a wedding card for her daughter's wedding in a few weeks, so I had to do quite a bit of looking around in here, but found some goodies to make her card. So without further ado, here we go.

She is the wife of our pastor and wanted something not really blingy.. if that's a word.  ;))  but, I think she will be please with this one. 
So now, the scraproom is new and I thought I would also redo my blog page too, so check out my new design and let me know what you think.  I like it because it's quite bright and happy looking.  I have added some new blinkies also, and please if you want to follow me, do so with the "Bloglovin" button.  So there has been quite a few changes in life as well as material things.  But all is good and looking forward to completing the unpacking and getting back into full swing shortly.
