A Toast for the New Year

Hi my friend, glad you stopped by and I hope everyone has a very wonderful and Blessed Christmas!!  Today, for the Challenges 4 Everyone Challenge,  I have decided to move on to the New Year and here is A Toast For You!!  I thought most would enjoy a Margarita since..... well, sorry out of Champagne....  LOL

Our generous sponsor Oak Pond Creations has provided us with some really awesome digis and I choose the Margarita so we could have our toast for the New Year and I wish everyone the best the whole year through.  You need to visit their shop and see all the great digis!!

THE STUDIO...

I have used Vellum for the top layer of the glass, 2nd layer, lime green cardstock with a little inking for the Margarita drink. LOL, and of course the image is printed on Neenah cardstock.  I "salted", the rim of he glass with Stickles, "Frosted Lace", because you just can't have a Margarita without a salted rim, right?  LOL  I cut some strips of card stock to make my little curly decorations and colored the printed ones with my Copic Markers.  The sentiment is on a Spellbinders banner die cut out.  That's about it for this card and I hope to see lots of you joining in the fun challenge.

And for joining in you could be our next Winner!!
So until next time
Take care and God Bless!
A very Merry Christmas to Everyone!!

Merry Christmas

Hi my friends, I have finally made my third or so Christmas card.  Whew!!  I am behind, hopefully I am on Santa's good list.  LOL  So here is what I have created using some beautiful dies from Spellbinders.

I have been doing many types of cards, but for some reason the beautiful dies hanging on my rack are not being used as often as they should or used as a group.  So here is my card using Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25.  I began with a white card base and used a silver paper for the background, then cut out all the layers except the very center one, popped each layer up, (a couple of layers had to be fussy cut as they were not frames), added a Vintage type picture of Santa that was fussy cut from a stamped image, added a few silver poinsettias and I think it came out beautiful.  Very, very Christmas, you could say.

Everything I used was from my stash except the Poinsettias.  I would say that is great for getting rid of some of my stash...  yep, the hoarder stuff, you know.  LOL

Well, that's it for now, thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back to visit soon.  If you have a sec, please leave some love and if you like what you have seen on my blog, please feel free to become a follower.

So until next time,
Take care and God Bless.
Merry Christmas!!!!

Winter Friends....

Hi, my friends, yes, I had a partial blog post written earlier and I deleted it and here is the real thing.  Just didn't want anyone to think they were seeing things.... or not seeing things.  LOL  This is my card for Challenges 4 Everybody and I think this is such a cute winter digi stamp along with others that was given to us by our generous sponsor Sherri Baldy.

I have been going through my stash of paper, I do have a lot, I am a paper hoarder, OH, did I say that?  Well, there is quite a stash and I have been using it, so that will help.

The background is paper with snowflakes, no brand name.
I cut some flourishes with a Spellbinder die, used some Versamark and sprinkled some Stampendous embossing powder, Winter Wonderland, heated it up and although it looks great on the card it was very hard to photo.
I had some bling flourishes by Prima.
The flower was from Petaloo.
Ribbon from my stash... also have a big ribbon stash too!!  LOL
The image is from Sherri Baldy and I colored it with my Copics.  It is so cute, just too sweet.  You need to check her shop, gosh, you just want to buy everything.  She does great with her digis.

Well, that is all the ingredients I used and now it's time to move on to begin another card for another post, so I will be back soon.

You need to join in Challenge #35, Anything Goes!!
And maybe you can be the next winner of some digis from Sherri Baldy, Scrapbook Stamp Society.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I enjoy your visits and I hope you return soon.  You are my inspiration!!  Please leave some love in the comment section if you have a sec and if you become a follower that would also be soooo Awesome!!

Okay, my friends, signing out and moving on.

Until next time, take care and God Bless!

What Does the Fox Say?

LOL....  I have  no earthly idea!!   I heard the song on TV the other night being sung by a group and I still have no idea what they said!!  Oh, must be my age..  LOL
But anyway, our generous sponsor, Deasy Designs, gave us a choice of some images to use in this Sunshine Mail Challenge and there was the fox and there came my inspiration... that song was still wondering around in my head..  lol   So here is my card and I hope you get a chuckle too!!

I used all material from my stash, colored the fox with my Copic Markers and fussy cut the fox cutting his head separate and then put his head on an Action Wobble and it really bounces good.  It will surely make a child laugh, this big kid did.  LOL

So you need to visit our sponsor and check out all the cute images.
Deasy Designs‎

So join in the challenge and maybe you'll be our next winner!!

Let's join together and all send a card to Sunshine Mail and make a child smile.

Brrrrrrr...

Hi my friends, glad to see you're back visiting and taking a look around.  I have a new post to day for Challenges 4 Everybody and it looks "cool".  LOL   I love snowglobes and this one has a really cute image.  So have a look and I hope you like and if so, please leave me some love, I need you to help keep my inspiration going!!  You really help a lot!

I wish I could ice skate, looks like tons of fun, but living so far down south we don't have snow, so I guess that's out.  OH, and the biggest reason I guess is I turned 73 November 20th...  I would definitely land on my butt.. broken bones... and eewww... let's change that subject.  LOL  Just one of those thoughts.. ; ))

The materials used were:
The image is from our fantastic sponsor, Bugaboo, and I think it's precious!
bugaboo
The cardstock is from my stash.
The patterned paper is Snowglobe, by Reminisce, out of the hoarded pile of Christmas paper.  :))
I colored the image with my Copic Markers
Punched Snowflakes with punches from the rack... no name brand
Snowflakes from MTC Gallery.
Ribbon and bling from stash.
I did put a dab of Stickles on center of Snowflakes on image, but hard to photo.

So now, it's your turn to post your creation to win a fabby prize!!

That's it for this challenge, it's been fun and I'll be back soon to post another.

Until then, take care
and God Bless!
Hugs,
Joanie

There is one thing I would like for all my friends to do and that is to also join in and send a card to Sunshine Mail for children that have issues.

Each month we will be hosting a challenge for you to help brighten someone’s day with Sunshine Mail.
This month, we are asking everyone to send a note to a family member to brighten their day.

So I have made a "Smile" card and this will be sent to my Sister-in-law who has Stage 4 cancer in her throat and also Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer, so yes, she needs lots of smiles and Prayers.

This will go out tomorrow in the mail to her and I hope it helps brighten her day.

The sentiment on the inside says:
Just wanted to let you know God and I are thinking about you.

I always smile when I think of you!

The adorable image is from our generous sponsor
http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/

Let It Snow

Hi, welcome back!!  If this is your first time, well, come on in and browse around, glad to have you.  See something you like, please leave me some love.

I decided for my title to use, "Let It Snow."  Oh, how I wish we would have snow!  Way down south in Mississippi???   Oh, never, but one can wish.  :)

I have chosen an image from our generous sponsor Lacy Sunshine and selected Eleanor and Pickles Jolly Holly Elves and I think they are just adorable.  Heather is an awesome artist and when you go to her shop you just want to buy them all!!  So here is my card featuring Eleanor and her pet Pickles.

I decided to go with "Let It Snow" with the ice blue and brown colors and not get into the Christmas Reds and Greens just yet.  I should, because I have not started my Christmas cards... whew!! I am behind for sure!!

So I colored my image with Copics.
The papers used are from a pack I have been hoarding... :) My Mind's Eye, Signature Christmas by Jen Wilson.
Snow flakes with bling from Jolee's boutique and other snowflakes were punched with a really old snowflake punch that was on the shelf.  "No name brand".
The Flowers were from my stash as well.
Sentiment was punched with Stampin' Up punches
The embossing on the strip was from Sizzix

So that's about it for all the materials I used.  I hope you like my creation and if so, please leave me a comment as that is where I get most of my inspiration, from my friends and followers that visit with me.

If you would like to visit Lacy Sunshine and browse, just click on the picture below.  I hope you enjoy your visit.

Thank You!!

I am posting my final Link Up for Pink - Linking Party card and would like to personally thank everyone that has been involved, whether it is posting your creation, donating prizes, or giving your support.  It has been another fantastic year and I am looking forward for our 4th Anniversary.  So here is my card and again, thanks for your support.

It has been a pleasure being a Design Team Member with some very awesome ladies.  You've been lots of fun and have created some fantastic cards.   The one lady that I want to give a huge Thank You to is Yolie for all the work she does, the time she donates, the creations she makes, getting  super generous sponsors, just giving her all for a very special cause.  And not to mention, keeping all of us in line.  LOL - that's probably the hardest part of it all.

So glad you stopped by to visit and will be looking forward to you visiting again soon.

So until next time,
Take care and God Bless

The Sand Dollar Legend

Hi, here I am again with a card for Challenges 4 Everybody.  I had to choose a digi to create with from our sponsor Oak Pond Creations and I decided I would choose the Sand Dollar.  I guess it's because living in New Orleans and in the surrounding area most of my life, we often visited the Mississippi Gulf Coast and love walking on the beach, it went for miles and miles and was just beautiful white sand and we would always look for shells and of course, any other interesting objects or creatures.

During one of my visits I stopped in a little "Sea Shell Shop" and bought a sand dollar that had a sunset painted on it, shades of oranges and yellows and a seagull flying and it was framed with the story of the sand dollar, just beautiful.  Believe me, that was many, many years ago.... I do mean many.  LOL and it is still with me through the moves I have made and looks as good as new.  Just one of those cherished things you take very good care of.  So, here is my card and I hope you enjoy the "Legend of the Sand Dollar".

The image is from Oak Pond Creations, our fantastic sponsor.

Everything on my card is from my stash.
I did print the picture of the Poinsettia to show the backside of the shell.
The doves are actually out of another shell that I had, but I had to break it :( so I could show that there actually are 5 doves inside the shell.

I hope you like my card and enjoyed the "Legend of the Sand Dollar" and will be looking forward to seeing your "love comments" to inspire me to continue and hope you visit often as there are more cards waiting their turn to be posted as well as some images on the scrappin' table wondering, ummmm... wonder what she's gonna do with me.  LOL

So until next time,
Take care and God Bless.

Happy Fall

Hello again, I am back to post my card for the Sunshine Mail Children and I chose "Happy Fall" because it's such a beautiful time of the year.  We had a little of a cool morning here in Mississippi and I thought I could just smell the Autumn air.  (Or just wishing for cooler weather maybe.  ;) .  The colors of the leaves are just breath taking when the change begins.  My favorite time of year!! Okay, so here we go!

The image is from our generous sponsor Fresh Brewed Designs, called "So Thankful", cutie of an image with the little smiling acorns.

The fall leaves are from Michael's.
The cardstock is from my stash.
The background was embossed with Spellbinders Bossabilities, EL009
The die cuts are from Spellbinders, Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval.
I colored the image with Copics Markers.

Well, that completes this post and I hope you have enjoyed your visit and come back often to visit.

I Miss You

Hi all of my blogland friends, so happy to have you visiting again.  This is my post for Challenges 4 Everybody Challenge 30 and I decided to do a little different card and why ???? I decided to do one that is very time consuming because I knew this was the week I would be out of town for a few days, but.....  Duh,  yes I am a blonde, I am old, and I guess I like challenges.  ; )   But I had the image colored, some of the ribbon looped, so there really wasn't too much to complete when I got back.  I hope you like my creation and hope you leave me some comments because you are where I get much of my inspiration.  So here it is:

I think the image is adorable.  She is from our generous sponsor Sherri Baldy, Scrapbook Stamp Society, and she is called Millie Mae

I think she's a real cutie and the sentiment I used inside the card was "I Miss You" and thought she was perfect.

All the ribbon and the flowers are from my stash.
The solid background cardstock is from Coredinations
The Patterned paper is from Basic Grey 6x6 pack, Fiction
The image was colored with my Copics

And for the Awesome News!!!
The winner will receive 5 images!!!  How awesome is that?

 Photobucket

Get your card or creation posted and YOU could be the next winner!!!
So get Scrappin' to make it Happin'   !!!!!

I hope you enjoyed your visit and until next time,
Take Care and God Bless
Hugs,
Joanie
