Hoping for a Cure

Hi my friends, here's another "Hope" card for Link Up for Pink.  I think we all hope and believe that a cure is on its way soon.   So here is the card I have created for you.

I used Martha Stewart's punch for the edge of the card front and corners of the butterfly paper piecing.  The patterned paper is from a 6x6 pack of  EP paper (and I lost the pack since using it, so I can't tell you the name and the cardstock is Melon Mambo from Stampin' Up and the stamped images and sentiment are from Stampin' Up "Hope and Strength" stamp set .

Now for some really fantastic news!!!!!  Link Up For Pink Challenge #8 is starting on December 27th at midnight PST.  The theme is "Anything Goes" with a "Touch of Pink."

Our super fantastic sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs and the prize is winner's choice of 4 images.  How cool is that?
You really need to check out their shop for some of the cutest images ever!!!!   Something for everyone for anything you're creating.

So with all that being said,
Start Scrappin' to make it Happin"

"YOU" could be the next winner of a fabulous prize!!

Until next time,
Take Care and God Bless.
Hugs

Hope Ribbon

Hi, sorry it's been a while since I posted to Link Up for Pink, but my daughter and I have been moving the scrap room from the second floor to the downstairs area.  Oh, what a job!!!  I feel like they should call someone from the "Hoarder" to see what we have accumulated.  And guess what?  We still buy more!!  LOL  Well, I think now that we can see and we know what we have we can come to a halt on purchasing anything else.  ; )    Well..... for a while anyway.  LOL

Well, here is my card and I hope you like it.

The lighting is not the best, but we haven't moved everything down, so things won't look the best until we get completely settled in.

The paper I used is from Mambi, a breast care awareness pack, and the stamp is from Pink by Design.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Well, that's all  have for today, so until next time,
Take Card and God Bless.

Celebrations for Holidays

Gosh, celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas are upon us already.  Where in the world did the year go?  Well, we at Link Up for Pink have also added another day for celebrating and that's "More Birthdays" as our theme.  Yes, we want to wish everyone a Happy Birthday and many more to come.  And in keeping with the theme, I just celebrated my birthday on November 20th and it was a biggy, no not the party, the numbers...  ; ) a big 72.  Whew, and the years seem to go by so much faster now.  So with all that said, here is my Birthday Card for everyone that had or will have a birthday and I hope you enjoy.

I used a cute stamp from Ippity Chick at Unity Stamps and also want to say they are the generous sponsor of Challenge 7.  Thanks Mary for supporting Link Up for Pink, you are awesome.

My stamp is made of cupcakes and I thought I'd make chocolate cupcakes and oh, notice the icing, yum, I used Liquid Applique and heat embossed it and it puffed right up.  The cardstock I used is from Michael's as well as the patterned paper, the ribbon is from my stash.

Well, it is time to get your stash out and start making your creation for

You're So Special

Hi my friends, it's great to be back and sharing our cards and projects with Link Up for Pink to help provide support for those that are fighting the battle with breast cancer.  We just want to let you know that we're all here, praying, believing and hoping a cure is very close.  So here is my side step card that says.......

Yes, you "Are Sew Special" because of the strength, faith, courage and hope that all of you are having and putting forth during this journey of your life.

I thought the image was really cute and would put a smile on everyone's face.  She is a digi stamp from The Paper Shelter and is called the Cute Dress Maker and that she is.
The sewing die cut used on the bottom front is from Tim Holtz and is called the Sewing Edge.
All the images where colored with my Copic Markers that I absolutely love.
All other buttons, paper, and thread are from my scraproom stash and oh, gosh, there is lots of that on hand.   ; )

I want to remind all the Scrappers that the new Link Up for Pink  Challenge #7 will begin on November 22nd and we will be looking forward to seeing all your fantastic creations posted and the Sponsor for the Challenge is:   Ippity Chick - Mary's Creative Journey

A Little Tilda Christmas

Hi all my friends, I haven't been posting for a while because I was so busy with Link Up for Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop, but now I am back on track and will be posting cards more often.  I am not really a Halloween type person, I do some, but not one of my favs.  I do really like Christmas, so that's what I decided to do here.  I have gotten lil' Miss Tilda ready for Christmas, so here she is.  Hope you like her.

I decided to do a little pink and aqua with some poinsettias in pink and heat embossed with silver to give them a little frosty look.  I also like to decorate the inside of my cards as well.

So this is my first Christmas card for this year, more to come of course, and I will be looking forward to having y'all visit and I hope it's often because remember, y'all are like family.  ; )

So until next time
Take card and God Bless
Hugs

A Beary Special Wish

Hi again, I am here to post another card for Link Up for Pink Breast Cancer Aware linking party.  Well, today I decided I would try something new that I have never done before, I made a totally digital card.  Let me show you a really beautiful card and then I'll tell you my story of how I came to do this.  Okay, here goes.

Gosh, there is just so much you can do with the digital designs.  This particular Digital Designer Pack came from "Touched By a Butterfly" and I used several BCA packs to achieve the look I wanted.
The Pink Lace Heart and Flowers came from FBD Series BCA and the Bear and Butterfly came from Hope BCA Kit.

It was amazing how easy, with the help of my daughter of course, to make this card, she is really a photo shop guru. She stood over my shoulder and explained how to click here and click there to get certain things.  It was fun and once I got the hang of it I am sure I will do more using this technique as I sit and create.

Celeste of Touched By a Butterfly is one of our very generous sponsors donating (5) $30.00  vouchers to five lucky winners.  That's an awesome prize.

You need to stop by her store and see the beautiful Designer Packs and also I got a note from her today saying:

I am so excited to announce I am now selling my kits at Heartfelt Perfections. I am so honored and excited to be a part of this wonderful store. I am currently uploading kits there now. All of my products will be 20% off this month.

Congratulations, Celeste on your new journey. I wish you the best.

Now for some really exciting news you need to check out
to see the gorgeous creations being submitted to win the fabulous prizes that have been donated for the Linking Party.

On the link it will show you all of our fabulous supporting sponsors and the generous prizes donated that's over $4,000.

So my friends it's definitely time to
GET SCRAPPIN' AND MAKE IT HAPPIN'

Take care and God bless and please,
get them checked.

Hi, and thanks for stopping by for another visit and on such a special day because it's during Link Up for Pink's 2nd Annual Link Up Party.  I have a very special post today, first of all. I would like to thank Lauren at My Time Made Easy for the beautiful cut file she made especially for our Link Up Party.  So here is my creation and I put some extra love and care in making this to make it special because I am giving it away as Blog Candy after the party is over.

The cut file for the box will be on sale at My Time Made Easy after the party is over, so here is a little of what I used to make my creation.
I used Stampin' Up Pretty in Pink cardstock.  The pattern paper on the very top is from K & Company from Michaels, and the Pleated Ribbon is from Michael's, Lace from stash, Twisted Pearl Cord from Hobby Lobby, Pink Pearl flourishes are Recollections from Michael's, the large Pink Flower and Butterfly is by Prima also, and the two soft Pink flowers are from Recollections Signature Special.

Now for some awesome, fantastic news !!  This is Link Up for Pink's 2nd Annual Link Up Party and all of you are invited to win some awesome prizes from some Fantastic Supportive Sponsors that have been ever so generous with the prizes.  You need to get your entry in, and oh, you enter as many times as you wish, just check the rules at www.LinkUpforPink.com so no one's submission is eliminated.  Join in for some fun time, get inspired by all the creations submitted, and then perhaps win a fabby prize too!

My sweet little lady bug is a digi image from Scrapbook Stamp Society,  her name is "Cute As A Ladybug" designed by Heather Valentin.  I thought she was just precious and surely would bring us all some good luck.

The stamped image is from Fresh Brewed Designs and it's called "Gardening Granny", she looks really cute in her jeans don't you think?  ; )   Well, I hope she gets going soon, I sure could use a Fresh Brewed cup of coffee and a big slice of Apple Pie.

I'M A SURVIVOR !!

Good Morning, here is my last post for the month of September for Link Up for Pink, whew...where has the month gone?  Well, today I have turned my thoughts to the survivors.

Gosh, how I hope and pray each and every one of you fighting the battle can say that.  I have done many cards on here for all that are fighting, hoping, praying, believing, having strength and courage and the love from family and friends to win the battle, but today I thought I would do a card for the survivors who have been through so very much and did all they could do and did finally win the battle.  So here's my post for them and I would like to say I am so thankful ... "YOU'RE A SURVIVOR". Best wishes forever!!

I made an easel card that stands up and opened, I thought you would enjoy reading the sentiment inside giving you a great feeling of accomplishment.  I bought this stamp and others for breast cancer awareness at Hobby Lobby, but this one I decided to use because of what I wanted to do. The paper is from my stash, the crochet flowers are from The Paper Studio, the pearl swirls are from Want2Scrap, the other pearls, ribbon, leaves and lace are from my collection of stuff.   ; ))  I do not part with my stuff... there always comes a time to use it.  (I'm going to be on the TV show as the Scrapbooking Stuff Hoarder."  ; ))

The digi stamp I used is the Breast Cancer Awareness from Digi Darla Designs. They have an awesome supply of digis to choose from and I heard some good news.....read on....

First of all, today is the last day to get your entry in for Link Up for Pink Challenge 6, you have until midnight PST, so those of you who want to win fabulous prizes from Fresh Brewed Designs and Stateline Bag Company, well, guess you better get a move on.  ; ))

Secondly, guess what starts on October 1st????

www.linkupforpink.com/

Yes, our big LINK UP FOR PINK BLOG HOP.... woo hooo.   You DO NOT want to miss out here.  This is the time to show what you can do and post your creation or card here to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness and to have many, many chances to win some fantastic, fabulous, great, awesome prizes!   In addition to all our generous sponsors, I heard, now listen up... pay attention...I heard..... oh, this is awesome y'all, but I was told...... you are not going to believe this... that Digi Darla Designs ... and they have awesome digis, but... are you still here???  Okay, good, here goes.....

Digi Darla Designs  said that, "each person will receive a coupon code for a free digital image worth $3 to Digi Darla.  Only one per person.  Although they can enter as many times as they want for the chance to win the other prizes being offered."   Okay, post a card, win a prize, now it can't get any easier then that.

Hope Whispers

Hi again, I'm glad you're stopping by,  it makes me so happy when you come by to visit here, why, you're like family!   :)   Today I did a rather clean and simple card, left off all the bells and whistles I guess you could say.

I just thought this card would make us stop for a minute and just think.  Some are saying, I have breast cancer, I'm fighting like a girl to win the battle, I'm taking chemo,  I am on radiation, I have the pain, I'm getting tired.  Some are ready to just give up.  But then the thought of, I've gone this far and why give up now.  You need to believe in Hope, it strengthens.

My card image was generously donated by Oak Pond Creations.  I fussy cut the gloves, hung them with a platted cord, and embossed the card front, used a brayer with pink ink to color the highlights and then cut the oval shape out to hang the gloves to remind you that you are a fighter and are not giving up.

Kimberly, artist and owner, of Oak Pond Creations has designed a digital image for Link Up for Pink. All 2012 sales will be given to the LINK UP FOR PINK Relay for Life page.

I would like to take a minute to thank Kimberly of
Oak Pond Creations for this very generous donation to Link Up for Pink which is for such a fantastic cause.

So please, go to their site and buy your special digital image to make your donation.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and hope you come back to visit soon.

So until next time,
Take care and God Bless
Hugs

Weathering the Storm

Hello, it's Link Up for Pink posting time again and I have a card today and the sentiment says "Weathering the Storm".  When someone is going through all the phases of fighting breast cancer it's like being in a storm.  I have a little write up I found on the internet that I will add a little later in the post.  For now here is my card and I hope you get some comfort knowing we here at Link Up for Pink are by your side even though you can't see us, but you can come here and there's always something to hopefully ease your pain physically and mentally. So here we go....

My cutie little girl is from Scrapbook Stamp Society, Digi Doodle Download Stamp, by Heather Valentin, Lil Ragamuffins - Emily Rainy Day.  I think she is just perfect for this card.  Please get busy and post your creations and have the chance to be a winner of 5 free digis from Scrapbook Stamp Society.  This is an awesome place to shop for some of the most fantastic digis for all your needs.  Today is the last day to post for Challenge 5 to win this awesome prize, so get your creations posted today before midnight PST.  Good luck to all who participate.

Now for the article I read and thought it would be good for support, strength, courage and hope.

Sailing through life is not about the size of the sailboat you have, or the equipment you own. It's about being a resourceful captain and steward of your boat, its resources, the people you choose to have along on your journey, and where you allow yourself to go.
It is learning to ride the waves. Weathering the storm makes you strong, durable, flexible, and more resilient. Experience makes you an expert sailor. You become stronger, wise, and always more prepared for the unexpected. Becoming an expert sailor requires you to learn new techniques, come through some rough storms, and then lets you enjoy the peaceful and serene times that also become part of the sailing experience, where you glide with the breeze, enjoying the nature around you. A novice sailor may be energetic, and have the best boat and the newest equipment, but the seasoned sailor brings the depth that adds value and wisdom to the voyage.

When you are at the start of the breast cancer journey, you can join hands with other shipmates who have been through the breast cancer experience to strengthen your position.  There is less of a chance the ship will capsize if there is a good solid crew, so learn to let others help, take in their wisdom, and sail your boat in only the way that you can - with grace and courage.

I hope this article helped you in some way to let you know you're not alone.  I hope and pray a cure is close by.

Okay, it's time for the big day tomorrow....

Challenge 6 starts September 20th until September 26th, note it is for one week only.  The winner will be announced on September 27th.  Our fabulous, generous sponsors are:
