Now for the article I read and thought it would be good for support, strength, courage and hope.
Sailing through life is not about the size of the sailboat you have, or the equipment you own. It's about being a resourceful captain and steward of your boat, its resources, the people you choose to have along on your journey, and where you allow yourself to go.
It is learning to ride the waves. Weathering the storm makes you strong, durable, flexible, and more resilient. Experience makes you an expert sailor. You become stronger, wise, and always more prepared for the unexpected. Becoming an expert sailor requires you to learn new techniques, come through some rough storms, and then lets you enjoy the peaceful and serene times that also become part of the sailing experience, where you glide with the breeze, enjoying the nature around you. A novice sailor may be energetic, and have the best boat and the newest equipment, but the seasoned sailor brings the depth that adds value and wisdom to the voyage.
When you are at the start of the breast cancer journey, you can join hands with other shipmates who have been through the breast cancer experience to strengthen your position. There is less of a chance the ship will capsize if there is a good solid crew, so learn to let others help, take in their wisdom, and sail your boat in only the way that you can - with grace and courage.
I hope this article helped you in some way to let you know you're not alone. I hope and pray a cure is close by.
Okay, it's time for the big day tomorrow....
